Our team at NiPa Design:

Krishna Somashekar (krishna@nipadesign.com) is our principal designer and CEO. Krishna has a technical qualification in tool engineering, and has ten years of experience of product design, industrial design, prototyping, product development, and production.Over these years, he has acquired skills for product ideation and for computer aided design. As he is compelled to innovate, he likes to often accept work that requires more than the knowledge, experience and skills he already has;to challenge and push him further in every sphere.

S K Ladha (skl@nipadesign.com) is Krishnas mentor, and works with him to help manage and grow our business. He has worked in the Indian engineering industry for thirty years, and was president of an American engineering company in India in the last position he held. He has studied mechanical engineering at BITS, Pilani (1970) and business management at IIM, Ahmedabad (1972).


Dr Richard Fernandese has a doctorate in physics, and 30 years of experience in applying technology to develop purpose specific machines. He is our principal technical resource and advises us whenever we need to be sure we have the right perspective on a difficult problem we have to solve.


Raj Darshi is our product designer. He has studied at NIFT, Bangalore and has a post-graduate degree in industrial design from IIT, Delhi.


Amit Subramanya is our CAD engineer. He has several years of experience in mould design and development, engineering design and he is also responsible for prototyping.


Arun Sriram is responsible for sourcing and for managing our projects.
